Can you train an older aggressive dog?
Yes. Age changes the timeline, not the outcome: an adult or senior dog has more rehearsal of the behaviour to undo, so it usually takes 60 nights instead of 30. The Dogfather regularly takes adult dogs other trainers have refused, at $250 per night plus HST. Health comes first, so pain and thyroid issues get ruled out with your vet before training starts.
What do you do with a dog with a bite history?
Bite history is accepted at The Dogfather rather than a reason to refuse, which is why owners in Scarborough, Toronto and Markham arrive here after other trainers say no. The dog is assessed in person at a $50 evaluation, credited in full toward your program on enrolment, managed under threshold, and rehabilitated on the reactive Board & Train tier at $250 per night plus HST.
